Measuring Stacks
Side view of a measuring stack |
 To use the measuring stack:
this can needs to be slid forward until it is
touching the Sharpie
spin the can around so that a circular line is
marked at the preset height
|
I made the measuring stacks by screwing or gluing together pieces of wood of various thicknesses. I was lucky to exactly hit the heights I needed. If I needed to fine-tune the height of a stack, I would put cardboard from a cereal box in the center. As you can see, these stacks have a stair-step design. That design is not needed for this project. But just possibly, I may be able to use the lower-height steps in a future project.
